During our testing of the Compresstome VF-800-0Z, we made several exciting discoveries that we’re eager to share with you:

• The Compresstome VF-800-0Z allowed us to easily embed dozens of egg white core samples on the specimen plunger (i.e., loading platform), with the potential to accommodate even more samples if needed. Essentially, there is the possibility to cut 20+ samples at once.
• Embedding in agarose and chilling the agarose during the prep process was quick, streamlining the workflow.
• We were able to obtain complete agarose “sheets” containing our samples, which facilitated easy differentiation and tracking of each sample.
• We were able to section thicknesses from 25µm to 500 µm, achieving slice thicknesses of: 25, 30, 35, 40, 50, 60, 80, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 400, and 500 µm. 

These findings underscore the versatility and efficiency of the Compresstome VF-800-0Z in meeting the diverse needs of researchers in tissue sectioning applications. With just one “slice” using our latest vibratome, you can generate a sufficient number of tissue samples to fill an entire well plate. Check it out:
