Precisionary Honors World Alzheimer’s Day 2023

Published on July 31, 2023

Welcome to World Alzheimer’s Day 2023, observed on September 21st every year. Today, we come together to raise awareness about Alzheimer’s disease, support those affected by it, and advocate for continued research and progress in finding effective treatments and prevention strategies. Join us in honoring this important day and standing united in the fight against Alzheimer’s.

What is World Alzheimer’s Day?

World Alzheimer’s Day is a global initiative held on September 21st each year to raise awareness about Alzheimer’s disease and challenge the stigma surrounding it. The day aims to educate the public about the impact of Alzheimer’s, support individuals living with the disease and their caregivers, and promote research efforts to find effective treatments and ultimately a cure for this progressive neurodegenerative disorder. World Alzheimer’s Day serves as a platform to mobilize communities, organizations, and individuals worldwide in the fight against Alzheimer’s and to advocate for better dementia care and support.

Let’s Celebrate Together!

Join us in recognizing and honoring World Alzheimer’s Day 2023, a day dedicated to raising awareness about Alzheimer’s disease and its impact on individuals, families, and communities worldwide. At Precisionary Instruments, we are committed to supporting the global efforts in dementia and neurodegenerative disease research through our innovative tissue slicers, including microtomes and vibratomes.

Our precision instruments are designed to facilitate the study of brain tissue in the context of Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative disorders. By providing researchers with reliable and cutting-edge tools, we aim to enhance their ability to investigate the underlying mechanisms, biomarkers, and potential therapeutic interventions associated with dementia.

On this World Alzheimer’s Day, we stand in solidarity with the scientific community, neurologists, and neuroscientists who dedicate their lives to advancing our understanding of Alzheimer’s disease. We recognize the challenges faced by individuals living with dementia and their caregivers, and we are committed to supporting research that brings us closer to effective treatments and, ultimately, a cure.

Precisionary Instruments is proud to contribute to the field of dementia research by providing high-quality tissue slicers that enable precise and consistent brain tissue sectioning. We are dedicated to supporting scientists in their pursuit of knowledge and discoveries that may improve the lives of those affected by Alzheimer’s and other neurodegenerative diseases.

Join us in recognizing World Alzheimer’s Day 2023 and let us reaffirm our commitment to combating dementia, supporting caregivers, and working towards a future where effective prevention, treatment, and care options for Alzheimer’s disease are available to all.

Artificial Cerebrospinal Fluid (ACSF) is an essential buffer solution widely used in electrophysiology experiments, particularly to keep acute brain slices alive during research. This solution closely mimics the natural cerebrospinal fluid found in the brain and is designed to maintain neuronal viability and function during experiments like patch-clamp recordings. In this article, we’ll explore the importance of ACSF, its composition, and practical tips to optimize its use.
