- Our CF-2500 cryostat is a precision freeze-cutting microtome that has 360-degree specimen orientation capability, and can be set at 1-20µm intervals in 1µm increments and 20-60µm intervals at 5µm increments. The well-illuminated, stainless-steel cryochamber of the CF-2500 system utilizes open-top design to minimize temperature gain during prolonged use. Chamber freezing temperature can be controlled down to -30°C (-22°F). The Peltier-controlled sidebar can be quick frozen down to -60°C (-76°F), which helps reduce ice crystal artifact formation. The cryochamber also features a CFC-free refrigerant, foam insulation, and automatic programmable defrost functions. The cryostat is easy to clean and maintain, and is designed with ergonomics and safety in mind. Of note, the CF-2500 features a dual compressor system, which increases the durability of its freezing capabilities.
