Large sample sectioning refers to the process of cutting sections of an entire organ or tissue rather than small fragments. It is important because it allows researchers to study the tissue architecture, distribution of cells, and organization of cells and their components in three dimensions. This technique is commonly used in research to study the development of tumors, investigate the effects of diseases on organs, and develop new treatments for various conditions.
