The skin is the largest organ in the body and is composed of three main layers: the epidermis, dermis, and subcutaneous tissue. Each layer has a unique structure and function, and research on the skin is important for understanding skin diseases, wound healing, and drug delivery. Tissue sections are needed for studying the different layers of the skin and the cellular and molecular changes that occur in response to different stimuli.
