Traditionally, fixed tube bases required more time-intensive cleaning and setup. Our new removable system changes the game by allowing you to:
- Swap with Ease: Quickly transition between different tube sizes and buffer tray styles.
- Precision Control: Every kit includes a set of Blade Gap Shims (A through E). These allow you to fine-tune the distance between your blade and specimen tube with micron-level intent.
- Simple Maintenance: The modular design makes it easier than ever to keep your workstation pristine and your cuts consistent.
A Seamless Installation Process
Upgrading your Compresstome® is a straightforward process. Here is an overview of the installation and adjustment procedure:
- Preparation: Unplug your Compresstome® and remove the blade holder.
- Base Swap: Using your IP15 Torx Driver, replace the existing fixed tube base with the new Removable Buffer Tray Base.
- The “Shim Test”: This is where the precision happens. By passing color-coded shims through the gap between the blade and the tube, you can determine exactly which Control Plate your specific setup requires.
- Final Lock: Secure the adapter by turning the locking lever fully to the left, and you are ready to section!
