VF-800-0Z Mesh Embedding Sheet

100 mm mesh disk designed for use with the Compresstome VF-800-0Z cutting stage to facilitate secure tissue embedding, improved specimen adhesion, and gentle sample handling during live or fixed tissue sectioning workflows. The mesh sheet is intended to be adhered to the surface of the Compresstome cutting stage using cyanoacrylate adhesive prior to embedding. The textured mesh interface increases surface area and mechanical grip between the agarose-embedded specimen block and the cutting stage, helping to minimize sample shifting, detachment, or instability during sectioning, particularly for large, delicate, soft, or heterogeneous tissues. This improved adhesion can enhance sectioning consistency and overall slice quality. In addition to its embedding function, the mesh sheet may also be used as a gentle retrieval tool for transferring freshly sectioned tissue slices from the buffer tray. The flexible mesh structure allows users to carefully support and “scoop” fragile live tissue sections with minimal mechanical stress, compression, or direct handling, thereby helping preserve tissue architecture and viability during downstream processing or transfer to culture media, imaging chambers, or experimental platforms.
